2019 Season Ends

October 14, Monday results:
The results of Monday night’s meet were awesome! Both girls’ teams came in 4th place out of 9 teams. Runners of the week were Alyssa Kasper, Yvette Pacheco, Ashley Mondragon, Brooke Biggerstaff, Kate Belanger & Molly Hale. Both boys’ teams came in 1st place. Runners of the week were Grant Wiles, Jack Price, Ian Clark & Drew Tambasco.
As I reflect back over the season, there has been so much growth. All of the athletes’ hard work paid off. Coach Boysen and I are very proud of everyone! Congratulations on a great season!

October 7, Monday results:
The Dowell team performed well again at last night’s elite meet. Both girls’ teams came in 2nd place and both boys’ teams came in 1st place.
Runners of the week were Ava Kemp, Maggie Fleischer, Carly Hunt, Katie Amato, Jack Leonard, Peyton Schindler, Josh Nichter and Jack Maston. All of these runners were long over due for their hard work all season!
District Meet is scheduled for Monday, October 14 at Cockrill Middle School. The race order is the same:
7th grade girls 5:00
7th grade boys 5:30
8th grade girls 6:00
8th grade boys 6:30

The Dowell team had another great night of running at Evans. Of the 8 teams, 7th grade girls came in 3rd place. The 8th grade girls came in 1st place.

Next Monday, October 7, we are hosting the Dowell Elite Meet at Dowell. The top 10 in each division will participate. The schedule will be the same – 7th grade girls at 5:00, 7th grade boys at 5:30, 8th grade girls at 6:00 & 8th grade boys at 6:30.

The lightning delay made the meet Monday night an interesting one! Both girls’ teams came in 2nd place. Both boys’ teams came in 1st place. This week the runners of the week were decided based on the biggest drop in time from last week to this week. The runners of the week were Kendy DeLeon, Ajua Castro, Jeffey Luongo, Trent Wright, Mia Jamison, Nia Dillard, Alex Gonzalez & Ryan Ashton.
Monday morning was a little chaotic as we filled 8 boxes for The Meals on Wheels program. We had fun and are proud to serve our community!

Sept. 16, Monday results:
The team did very well Monday at Prosper. The 7th grade girls came in 2nd, losing to Cockrill by only 9 points. The 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls and 8th grade boys all took 1st place!
Runners of the week were decided by the biggest jumps in rankings. Runners of the week were Ashley Mondragon, Charlize Perez, Ethan Howe, Noah Kinkade, Abigail Salazar-McCauley, Gabby Larry, Matthew Jorgenson and Nicholas Shields.

Sept. 7, Saturday results:
The results can be found at my-finish.com. Click on Bronco Stampede in red, select your grade, then gender to find team results. To find individual times, click on finish list or on Dowell Middle School. All Dowell results will be there.
The 7th grade boys came in 1st place. Way to go! The 7th grade girls came in 7th place but within our district opponents, we came in 4th. We were close to getting FMS - they got us by only 3 points. 3 points is nothing! The 8th grade boys came in 2nd, losing to HP by 5 points. I think we've got those 5 points next meet! The 8th grade girls came in 5th but within our district opponents, we came in 2nd. Overall, great results!!
Runners of the week and top placers are: Justis Bodmer & Chad Stevens, Peyton Durham & Aniston Wilson, Byron Burrell & Reid Salvador, and Adeline Godwin & Samantha House.
2018 Season comes to an end...
CONGRATULATIONS to 7th and 8th grade boys on an undefeated season!
